The price was good. However, the back light is very dim. The time is difficult to read in the dark. I purchased for use as a bedside clock.

Basic Travel Alarm Clock that Works Great!!!
This alarm works great and the price was ideal. In reading the reviews I saw that some folks were bothered by the dim light that it has--yes it's dim, but it wasn't a deal-breaker for me. I had looked at a clock at Edie Bauer recently and it felt very cheap--this clock feels like it will hold up. I can also deal with the 4 minute snooze alarm--I'll only use this for travel and will rely on my Sony Dream machine (with 4 alarm settings and a pleasant tune) to wake me up on most days...
Update: Have been using this clock for about a month and have used it as a backup alarm set on my dresser to force me to get out of bed. It works great! I took it on a weekend trip and it worked fine for that too.

Simple and easy to use
Nice, uncomplicated, functional travel alarm clock. First of all, the package was EASY to open -- doesn't require a hacksaw and axe, like most packages do these days. Secondly, the instructions were written in CLEAR ENGLISH -- not weird unintelligible international symbols and directions in ten different languages with the English being butchered beyond comprehension. And thirdly, the clock is simple to set up and operate. Very user-friendly. Does what it says it's going to do. Alarm starts off softly then gets more frantic as seconds tick by and you haven't turned it off -- perfect for my waking-up habits. It's the right size -- very compact -- has a nice big display, big snooze button -- all in all, about as perfect as a product can be.

Solid, solid product.
I've had one of these for about 16 years. The same one. In daily use as an alarm clock at home, as well as going with me when I travel. It's durable enough I often put it in checked luggage. Some of the writing around the buttons is starting to rub off finally. About a decade ago I dropped it in a parking lot (with the case open) and one of the two little plastic ratchet tabs that holds it open or closed broke. The other one has held it open or closed fine ever since. The alarm sound is quite nice, pleasant to wake up to but (importantly) loud enough to wake up to. It keeps very accurate time, much better than a far more expensive one I won about 5 years ago. The backlight starts to get dim and the alarm sound weak when the battery gets low, but that's not often. I replace the battery every 5 years or so, fairly common watch battery and easy to find. You'll get plenty of warning before it winds up running so low it won't alarm, so it's very trustworthy to rely on when you need to be up. If mine ever does die I'm glad to see they're still available.

The clock is small, sleek and made by a reputable company. The only disappointment is the backlighting to view the clock in the dark. It is so dim you can barely read the time. From all of the other reviews I read before purchase, everyone seemed to have a favorable opinion of its funtion and long-lasting battery. I hope that is true as I have not used it yet.
